Manufacturing Manager Idaho

Summary

This role will manage plant production operations in a safe and cost-effective manner in compliance with all government laws and regulations. Manage all maintenance or facility related activities and services to ensure efficient operation and minimize down time within manufacturing operations. Manage projects to ensure continuous quality improvements to reduce cost and maximize productivity. Control inventory and provide support to capital projects. Effectively encourage and facilitate new and innovative thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a variety of functions, coordinate activities with all departments. Works closely with managers, supervisors, engineers and other peers. 
• Establish and maintain an effective rapport with regulatory agencies such as OSHA and EPA.
• Understand, promote and uphold work rules, safety rules, environmental rules and company policies and procedures.  Maintain a safe working environment by actively promoting a safe culture and ensuring rules and regulations are understood and followed.  Holds self and others accountable.
• Ensure efficient use of the workforce through scheduling, organizing and prioritizing tasks. Participate in interviewing, hiring, and staffing process.
• Manage the design process, implementation, and maintenance of operational equipment. Identify vulnerabilities, minimize risks and create contingency plans.  Coordinate preventative maintenance and electrical instrument repair in all departments and ensures site equipment reliability.
• Support organizational and department change efforts. Identify potential impact of changes and adjust work efforts as needed. 
• Prepare operating, capital and manpower budgets and short- and long-range forecasting.              
• Assist in the budget process and work toward achieving and implementing the budget at the warehouse level to control costs in order to goals. 
• Ensures maintenance systems and processes are in place and functioning properly to meet complex requirements (short term, long term and turnaround).

Typical Education

Experience Details

• 10+ years related experience and/or training
• Must be versed in high volume manufacturing, engineering, total quality management, supply, transportation and logistics, environmental health and safety, risk management and human resources.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratio and proportions to practical solutions.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including all internal and external partners/customers and/or other personnel.
• Must be a proactive problem solver, possess a sense of urgency, identify critical path issues and resolve them expeditiously.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret all information relevant to the company location.
• Must demonstrate leadership skills in supervising and developing people and must have a positive, pleasant, friendly, energetic and professional image and demeanor.
• Must promote and successfully drive positive change.
