Accounting Specialist (Caldwell, ID)

Summary
This role is responsible for maintaining complete and accurate records, preparing, monitoring, and compiling financial transactions in compliance with Company policy and generally accepted accounting principles for Simplot Western Stockmen’s.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzes data for reasonableness and researches and resolves variances.
- Communicates with various departments to reconcile errors and improve accuracy.
- Maintains company internal control policies safeguarding all Company assets and assures total accountability.
Typical Education
Associate’s degree in Accounting or other business area where Accounting is required.
Relevant Experience
- Two plus years related experience and/or training.
- Must possess a good understanding of fundamental accounting concepts, practices and procedures.
- Must be able to apply accounting principles and theories as well as analytical skills to solving complex financial accounting problems.
- Must have a general understanding of manufacturing and related accounting processes.
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and communicate verbally and in writing with all levels.
