The Role:


We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for an Account Manager to join our Seafood Trading business in QLD, based at our Murarrie office in Brisbane.  Key to this role is to maximise customer intimacy as a key business partner in the QLD region (including regional QLD). 

Reporting to the National Account Manager Seafood Trading QLD, the Account Manager will be responsible for growing and developing the Seafood business by working in conjunction with the State & National Seafood Trading Team along with our customers’ sales teams.

What You Will Do:


  • Build and maintain effective, professional relationships in line with agreed importance to the business with High Profile/High Volume Accounts and distributors/reps
  • Provide training to our key partners for Simplot Australia's seafood product range and brands
  • Maximise GSV, Tonnes and Contribution by setting clear and concise objectives based on opportunities within High Profile/High Volume Accounts
  • Internal inventory management 
  • Identifying and capitalizing on Core & Potential Ranging opportunities to support ongoing sales growth
  • Strategically use relationship building to gain market share in key product categories from competitors and private branded products
  • Analyse, develop, and consider any prospect within the key accounts i.e. new and additional products 
  • Provide input, development, and assessments of the Simplot Seafood Trading strategy

What You Will Bring:


  • To be successful in this role, you will be a strong negotiator, highly skilled in communicating across all levels of business and have a track record in driving and achieving successful sales results within the Foodservice or FMCG industry
  • Whilst Seafood knowledge will provide you with a distinct advantage, this is not mandatory
  • Demonstrated account management experience will be viewed favourably however candidates with a background in FMCG demonstrating the drive to learn and succeed are also encouraged to apply.
