Summary

The Wholesale Sales Representative is responsible for new business prospecting and existing account sales within their designated territory for the wholesale range of products and services. The primary objective of the Wholesale Sales Representative is to aggressively seek new business relationships and close profitable sales with existing accounts while maintaining customer satisfaction. This includes providing customer support and advice while developing strong relationships with agricultural retail customers in a competitive environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services
  • Achieve the revenue and net profit objectives as agreed upon with manager
  • Utilize administrative, financial, technical, and educational support as required
  • Participate in the planning and execution of programs designed to promote the company’s activities
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, sales management, and accounting groups
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers’ value to the organization
  • Identify advantages and benefits of the Meridian product line and services in detail
  • Act as the liaison between customers and the company by ensuring prompt and efficient processing of customer correspondence, requests, and orders
  • Communicate with management regarding customer feedback, market conditions, competitive activities, and sales trends
  • Regular and reliable attendance expected
  • Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university (Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for meeting the minimum requirements)

Relevant Experience

  • 3+ years related experience and/or training
