Sr Manager, Enterprise PMO Americas - Boise, ID

Summary

As a senior member of the Global Food Enterprise Strategy team, this role is instrumental in the execution of the Global Food enterprise strategy and management of the Enterprise Project Management Office. As a critical thinker and experienced program/project management professional, you will:

• Support the Director, Enterprise Strategy in monitoring the strategic enterprise-level program execution with the Global Food Leadership Team, including escalating key issues that impact the critical path of project delivery
• Manage strategic enterprise-level projects and regional projects/workstreams to deliver Global Food’s goals, including direct and indirect management of project managers/teams where required
• Partner with senior leaders and the Engineering and IT PMOs  to ensure execution alignment through the Americas region

Through supporting the bi-monthly Strategy Execution Review (SER) rhythm for the Global Food business unit, you will ensure the Global Food and Regional leadership teams have visibility of major enterprise projects and category strategy execution, and can allocate resources to ensure their achievement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead/support key strategic projects where required to ensure the delivery of Global Food’s enterprise strategy
• Provide direct leadership and oversight of project resources, ensuring effective management of teams to achieve strategic project objectives.
• Maintain a view of the Enterprise Program status, risks/issues and dependencies, in conjunction with Engineering and IT PMOs, so Americas and Global Food leaders have visibility of project delivery and can re-allocate resources where needed
• Support the bi-monthly Strategy Execution Review rhythm for the Global Food Leadership Team, partnering the VP Strategy & Innovation and Director Enterprise Strategy to identify critical path issues, ensure effective program delivery and optimal resource allocation
• Establish the Americas New Product Innovation (NPI) PMO, working closely with the APAC NPI PMO, to create common and efficient tools, templates and ways of working
• Evolve and champion Global Food’s Project Management toolkit for non-IT/Operations projects, ensuring tools are concise, drive robust project governance and meet stakeholder needs
• Lead the NPI Program Manager to ensure Americas NPI PMs execute the NPI program, establishing effective roles and ways of working with Marketing, Category, Innovation, Operations and other relevant functions
• Using continuous improvement approaches, ensure the SER and enterprise project management tools improve their effectiveness and maintain stakeholder relevance over time

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Experience Details

• Minimum 8 years’ experience post university qualification in a Strategy, PMO or other project management role in a large corporate, or similar consulting experience
• Strategic mindset, with the ability to identify and prioritise the drivers of value in any problem, then define and lead the work required
• Accomplished program/project manager with knowledge and experience in leading large complex projects (prefer experience in variety of project types including M&A, food product development, process improvement, manufacturing/logistics)
• Experienced stakeholder manager at VP / Sr Director / Director level, with ability to constructively hold others accountable to their commitments
• Excellent written presentation and visualisation skills
• Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple stakeholders
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
