Software Engineer II

Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Software Engineer to join our dynamic software engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of scalable, high-performance web applications, contributing across the full technology stack—from front-end interfaces to back-end services and databases.

You should be comfortable navigating both technical challenges and domain-specific complexities, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software that meets real-world needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end components of web applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Contribute to strategic direction of the engineering team.
• Perform solution design. Apply appropriate technologies and lead design of highly complex infrastructure and software solutions.

Typical Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Relevant Experience

• 3+ years of experience in full stack development.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong experience with back-end technologies such as .NET, Node.js and Java.
• Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL), such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB CosmosDB.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and event driven architecture.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Agile methodologies and SDLC
• Proficient in unit testing and test-driven development concepts (xUnit)

This position is part of a product-focused team dedicated to building and enhancing a farm & field management system that supports hundreds of users across the agricultural sector. The platform integrates complex agronomic data and operational insights to empower decision-making at scale. You will work closely with  business leaders, crop advisors, agronomists, and digital sales analysts to deliver innovative tools and data-driven solutions that directly impact business outcomes. Our tech stack is primarily composed of:

• • Azure hosted C# backend heavily based on function apps and microservice architecture
  • MSSQL and CosmosDB databases
  • React / Redux frontend moving toward TanStack ecosystem
