Senior Program Manager Product Lifecycle Management

Summary

This role will be responsible for managing the Product Lifecycle Management, Quality and Formulation toolset including overseeing the management of product master data, processes, and systems. In this role, you will be working closely with business stakeholders in designing and delivering capabilities that support the J.R. Simplot Food Group business needs, creating value by enabling the business strategy and creating value by driving the innovative use and deployment of technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary systems administrator of the PLM system and act as the subject matter expert relating to creating/designing new attributes, assigning access, creating workflows, templates, and reports. Own end to end process for creating and distributing product attribute content, synchronizing with digital assets and ensuring legal approval when required.
  • Provides general application support to all users by answering questions, providing one-on-one training, and resolving any issues or errors. Works closely with IT to escalate user errors and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for managing consultants/managed service providers as required to support system changes and upgrades. Partner with IT to ensure all data flows to/from the related systems operate within expected parameters. Responsible to create and maintain a user manual with PLM SOPs.
  • Work with the IT Business Relationship Manager to build a technology roadmap for product lifecycle management that is influenced by the existing application portfolio, key user insights, vendor roadmaps and industry trends.
  • Lead subsequent optimizations of the PLM solution, ensuring that the global design remains intact but regional requirements are accommodated. Design efficient workflow solutions that will enable complete, accurate and timely product attribute consolidation, aligning with the appropriate digital assets all while ensuring data governance policies/procedures are followed and appropriate legal approvals obtained.
  • Collaborate globally and cross functionally to optimize current commercialization process regarding product attribute collection, approvals, and identification in conjunction with customer/consumer required timelines.
  • Manage projects related to data enrichment, data cleansing and process improvement. Designing, developing, implementing data reports to monitor data quality exception reporting. Works with applicable data owners on data quality inconsistencies and issues.
  • Own relationships with key vendors, representing J.R. Simplot on customer advisory boards and influencing vendor application roadmaps.
  • Maintain two-way communications with peer, mid and upper management level business, and IT organizations to solicit optimization ideas. Interpret and communicate business capabilities, standards, policies, and practices to multiple cross-functional groups. Act as an advocate for Product Lifecycle Management best practices, methods, and processes, representing all regional business stakeholders.

Typical Education

Bachelor’s Degree from 4-year college or university in Business or related field.

Relevant Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience working with PLM business processes and/or technology.
