Senior Marketing Manager Product & Insights

Summary

This is a blended position between product marketing and customer insights data analysis. By sifting through market information, polling customers, and finding niche areas in the marketplace, this position will help product management and development match products to customers. Driving the commercialization of key products by understanding customers with specific criteria (research) and what makes our business unique (insight), then creating the competitive advantage. This position will leverage all channels to connect with current and prospective customers to grow our unique products, services, and brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and own the product marketing strategy for specific value-added products to drive demand.
  • Pre-launch activities including but not limited to market research, customer trends, branding, regulatory & legal coordination, and product communications.
  • Integration of content programs with brand campaigns to drive brand demand.
  • Designing and implementing creative marketing strategies to disseminate product content, including social media, collateral creation/management, content calendar, video, case studies, infographics, testimonials, etc.
  • Lead timelines and delivery dedications ensuring that quality materials are delivered accurately and on schedule.
  • Post-launch activities including but not limited to sales enablement activities, metrics analysis, partner marketing, and sales coordination.
  • Design and implement creative marketing strategies to disseminate product information and resources.
  • Measure and report performance of all product marketing efforts, campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPI) utilizing data and analytic solutions to summarize campaign performance, develop insights to help improve marketing return on investment, and build client deliverables.
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies for AB business brands, products, and services supported by analysis of initiatives with the sales teams to provide sales/customer feedback to improve deliverables.
  • Manage the events strategy for the AB marketing department, review and advise on sponsorship/event/tradeshow/meeting evaluation, planning, execution, and post-event evaluation and metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal/external teams to create necessary assets for a customer experience that drive product demand (designers, sales, supply chain, subject matter experts, and industry experts).
Typical Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4-year college or university, Marketing, Market Research or related focus highly preferred.
Relevant Experience
  • 8+ years relevant market research and/or product marketing experience; Agriculture experience a plus

  • Works across functions and departments to deliver an effective content and event marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives (tapping into internal/external teams to create necessary content assets for a customer experience that proves the content value – designers, product marketing, sales, subject matter experts, and industry experts).
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and touch points.
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners.
  • Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing marketing campaigns through proven analytical acumen to organize and interpret data and develop insights that encourage action.
  • Measure the results of product marketing and brand activity to inform future campaigns.
  • Experience in market research, competitor analysis, and customer analytics
  • Customer-focused; clear and effective communicator; collaborative and consultative; ability to influence people at all levels of the organization; strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Must be a highly analytical and data-driven team player with a strong aptitude for creative problem-solving.
  • Proficient in Google analytics, market intel, Microsoft products and resources – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
  • Willingness to travel.
