Sales Project Manager (Boise, ID)

Summary

The Sales Solutions Manager Project Management role provides oversight and direction to the core Project Management team responsible for new item creation. This team coordinates, leads, and manages the progress of all stage and gate projects and works with cross-functional teams to ensure that the projects make progress through the system while meeting deadlines and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously across portfolio, including new products, product development and process improvements, many with a high degree of complexity. Projects often move quickly and may be global, requiring quick reaction times to customer requirements, while working within the defined stage and gate and new product development guidelines.
  • Manages projects requiring coordination of multiple departments including but not limited to: Sales, R&D, QA, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Demand Planning.
  • Works with various project stakeholders to define project, establish holistic plan, develop timelines, manage project through lifecycle, and track progress until completion. Responsible for identifying key resources and providing the direction required for meeting the project objectives.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate level of management; often serving as the direct liaison between Simplot and the customer Ability to lead and motivate with a clear vision of successful project, technical background.
  • Anticipate and identify potential obstacles and take an active leadership role in making decisions on project progression.
  • Ability to work in a fluid environment, and continuously review changes in project scope and reassess project viability
  • Manage team of project managers

 

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

5+ years related experience and/or training

Other Information

  • 5+ years of Sales, Sales Operations, or related experience preferred
  • 20% Travel required
  • Proven organizational skills with demonstrated ability to effectively work across boundaries
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs and Sales Reporting Systems Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred, but not required
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious accommodations will be considered as appropriate).
