Summary
This position is for a Mid-Level functional analyst who fits all requirements described below with a focus in (SAP IBP Supply Planning).
Simplot is on a transformational journey focused on delivering value to our customers now and in the future. This journey is based on a “green field” approach to implementing SAP S4/HANA along with other SAP Tools like SAP IBP as the core enabler for this transformation. This SAP Practice at Simplot is responsible for creating solutions within the new S4/HANA landscape to support our company’s dynamic global needs. Each team member will contribute to building solutions by utilizing the vast array of SAP products to support our business objectives. We are currently looking for innovative and driven Mid-Level Functional Analyst to join the existing team and contribute to all future business objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Work with other functional analysts to solve business requirements with an SAP solution that will utilize the SAP Product Suite already procured by Simplot.

Develop your skillset by assisting a Senior Functional analyst with team dynamics and epic, feature, and user story management.

Represent your process area in design and build sessions and solutioning.

Guide and participate in configuration in your process area.

Participate and contribute to daily stand-up meetings with a small agile development team.

Design, configure, and test developed solutions.
Typical Education
Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university |
Relevant Experience
5+ Years of proven experience as an SAP Functional Analyst or IT Business Analyst in relation to supply planning, data analytics and/or related capabilities.
SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning):
Basic understanding of supply planning functionality
Familiarity with key modules such as Demand Planning (DP), Supply Planning (SP), and Inventory Optimization (IO)
Experience with IBP Excel Add-in and Web UI
Basic knowledge of configuring planning views and working with key figures
Data Management & Analytics:
Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH)
Basic knowledge of SQL or other query languages for data extraction is a plus
Understanding of master data (e.g., locations, products, production resources) in IBP
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is beneficial
ERP & Integration Knowledge (Basic):
Understanding of how IBP integrates with SAP ERP (S/4HANA, ECC) and external systems
Awareness of CPI-DS or SDI for data integration is helpful
S/4HANA experience is preferred (1809, 1909, 2020, 2022)
Supply Planning Concepts:
Understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning), inventory optimization, and capacity planning
Knowledge of constraints modeling (e.g., supplier constraints, production capacity limits)
Familiarity with multi-echelon supply networks (e.g., sourcing strategies, transportation modes)
Supply Chain Fundamentals:
General knowledge of supply chain processes, including sales & operations planning (S&OP)
Awareness of supply constraints and optimization principles as well as linkages to order fulfillment, production scheduling, distribution planning
Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking:
Ability to analyze data and identify trends or inconsistencies
Critical thinking to troubleshoot data and system issues
Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent troubleshooting and verbal and written communication skills is required.
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (planners, IT, business users).
Ability to translate technical findings into business insights.
Process Improvement Mindset:
Willingness to learn and suggest enhancements to planning processes
Exposure to Agile or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
Development Methodologies:
Good understanding of standards, guidelines, and best practices to be used during development is required
Good understanding of the development lifecycle utilization of SAP Solution Manager and how it will be utilized in a Dev/Ops environment is preferred
Understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban is preferred
