Summary
The J.R. Simplot Company is on a greenfield SAP S/4 HANA ERP global transformation journey to support our current business and provide a unified platform that will take us into the future. With that we are rolling out Ariba across the globe and connecting it to SAP S/4 HANA. Each team member contributes to building solutions by utilizing the vast array of SAP products to support our business objectives. We are currently looking for innovative and driven Functional Analyst to join the existing team and contribute to all future business objectives. The Functional Analyst are directly responsible for the systems or modules that are in their area and must have the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the consulting team members of your process area follow program expectations
- Represent your process area in design and build sessions and solutioning
- Guide and participate in configuration in your process area
- Participate and contribute to daily stand-up meetings with a small agile development team in a quest to rapidly deploy new solutions on the S4 platform and tangential systems.
- Utilize agile methodologies for continuous delivery of solutions. Rapid deployment and validation of solutions components is a must.
- Design, configure, and test developed solutions and collaborate with agile team peers on the scope of the solution.
- Participate in continuous discovery of new solutions that will utilize the SAP Product Suite already procured by Simplot.

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university |
Relevant Experience
Required Skills:
- 3+ Years of proven experience as an SAP Functional Analyst or IT Business Analyst in relation to SAP Costing.
- Working knowledge of the new Fiori tools is preferred and S/4HANA experience is helpful (1809,1909,2020).
- Good understanding of various integration patterns between SAP products and non-SAP Products and when to utilize these patterns when enabling a business process is preferred.
- Good understanding of the development lifecycle utilization of SAP Solution Manager and how it will be utilized in a Dev/Ops environment is preferred.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban is preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting and verbal and written communication skills is required.
- Good understanding of standards, guidelines, and best practices to be used during development is required

Desired Skills:
- Good knowledge of SAP cost centers Activity types, Price Planning (Direct and Indirect) for process industries.
- Good Knowledge of Product Costing techniques viz, standard costing, Moving average prices, Split valuations, Mixed Costing, Cost component structure, Template allocations, Cost object controlling with Make to stock for process industries including E2E month end.
- Good understanding of parallel valuation techniques including Legal/Group and Profit Center Valuations.
- Good understanding of all revaluation techniques of cost object controlling with Process orders, Product cost collector, WIP calculations, Revaluation, settlements of variances with Variance categories.
- Good understanding and working knowledge of BOM/Recipe/Resources (Work centers) and Production planning activities.
- Good understanding of Material Ledger with Actual costing and transfer pricing with E2E value flows in Intercompany.
- Good knowledge of Source to Pay process viz procurement process, Price determinations, PIR, Account determinations and Outsourced manufacturing.
- Good understanding of Quote to Cash and Value flow with Margin Analysis, Derivation of characteristics. operating concerns and Gross margin reporting, Splitting of COGS.
- Good understanding of Make to order / Make to stock with Valuated Stock in transfer and advanced Intercompany Flows.
- Good understanding and working knowledge of integration touch points with SD/MM/PP/FI.
- Thorough Knowledge of Accounting posting schemes for integrated value flow from Logistics and Supply chain processes.
- Ability to write functional specs and design custom objects for business specific requirements and work with development teams.
