Inventory Planner 2 HQ FG

Summary

The Inventory Planner job has responsibility for products sourced from established co-packers. Works with both demand and supply planning to ensure customer and company expectations are met on a timely basis.  Partners with Procurement for understanding established vendors, while managing the tactical execution of contracts toward annual commitments.  Ensures accuracy of information, delivery of finished goods, service of sourced items, while meeting inventory targets.  Work with Customer Fulfillment, Deployment, and Demand Planning to manage potential impact of service disruption.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzes and manages inventory levels to meet service while minimizing inventory, placing POs for timely replenishment.
• Partners with Procurement team to understand established contract pricing and execution.
• Manages transactional vendor relationships to ensure delivery of service, quality, cost, and supply commitments.
• Reconciles POs for accuracy, taking corrective action to enable proper payment to maintain vendor relationship.
• Coordinates Bulk & Held needs when repack from vendors are required, then partners with Master Production Schedulers for alignment and execution.
• Organizes and tracks materials transfers to support repack efforts when needed.
• Builds strong stakeholder relationships to prioritize and deliver on portfolio projects.
• Analyzes monthly requirements published in Pack Plan for monthly and annual commitments.
• Notifies Deployment and Customer Fulfilment of any schedule changes that will impact their orders.
• Partners with Demand Planning when prioritization is needed in times of limited supply, proactively anticipating impacts to align customer expectations.

Other Information

Experience in food industry preferred. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in Sales and Operations Planning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Very strong planning and analytical skills. Self-starter. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to communicate to multiple levels within the organization. Usually works with minimal supervision, conferring with Manager on unusual matters.
