The Digital Team is part of the Technology and Data Sciences department at Simplot. We implement and support enterprise-level digital platforms for all of Simplot’s Sales and Marketing teams across the various business units. The Digital Scrum Master will work with the Digital delivery teams to help mature and promote Agile work management practices; they will provide coaching and facilitation to meet the goal of having predictable throughput and ability to deliver on the committed work.  The Digital Scrum Master is responsible for promoting and supporting the Agile mindset in their daily interactions, enabling flow of work through the teams, removing impediments, and raising transparency, all while fostering an environment of continuous improvement.


The Digital Scrum Master will coordinate and work with scrum masters from other delivery teams. The projects and work performed within the Digital organization often crosses over with delivery teams outside of Digital. This requires the Digital Scrum Master to be able to facilitate and coordinate work with other scrum masters and/or project managers within the Simplot organization.


For large initiatives that involve multiple delivery teams across the organization, the Digital Scrum Master will work with program and/or project managers to ensure proper scheduling and delivery of required features and capabilities.


There are several platforms utilized by the Digital delivery teams; they include Salesforce, Pardot, Sitecore, GA360, and others. Delivery teams we regularly interface with outside of Digital include Corporate Communications, Enterprise Data Management, Enterprise Integrations, ERP teams, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work management process expert and champion. Educate, assess, implement, support, and continuously improve work management practices across the Digital Delivery Teams. This includes collaborating with the Delivery Team managers to share insights on the team’s capacity, throughput, areas for improvement, etc.
  • Perform Agile ceremonies to include sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Partner with the Product Owners and Project Managers on backlog management and planning of work.
  • Support the Delivery Teams to ensure work impediments are cleared. Provide a distraction buffer for the Delivery Teams to allow them to focus on the prioritized and scheduled work.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

  • 3+ years related experience in the technology space.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Drive for delivery and continuous improvement
  • Understanding of Agile principles and Scrum methodology
  • Understanding of/hands-on experience with software development life cycle
  • Exposure to one or more relevant domain areas such as product, merchandising, retail, marketing, or supply chain preferred
  • Demonstrated influence without authority
  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple backlogs with various moving parts

Required Certifications

  • Certified Scrum Master or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP certification)
