Associate Program Manager Product Lifecyle Management

The Associate Program Manager will assist with the creation, completion, and data entry of new trade specifications and material specifications and SKU loads into JDE and NPD for all Food Group. The role will assist with validating data accuracy for material, formulation, and trade specifications.  This role will collect information from cross functional partners across all Simplot Food Group locations, e.g. production facilities, co-packers, suppliers, food scientist and technicians, Sales & Marketing, Nutritionist, and R&D and work with the Program Manager on next steps. This role will take general direction from the Program Manager – PLCM – on day-to-day activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the creation of new trade specifications and material specs for all Food Group in Product Data Management (PDM).
  • Initiate workflows and assist with the completion of the trade specification under the direction of the program manager PLCM.
  • Support the creation of new SKU’s in JDE for all Food Group innovation projects.
  • Aide cross functional stakeholders and project teams with gathering all data inputs and validate data accuracy to minimize rework.
  • Maintain all necessary data and reports in PDM (New Product Development (NPD) and Global Specification Management (GSM)

Typical Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

3+ years related experience and/or training

Other Information

  • An understanding of processing technology, quality assurance systems, and business process workflows is preferred.  
  • The ability to understand workflows required to complete product specifications is essential.
  • The ability to interface with cross-functional partners is critical.
  • The ability to influence people and outcomes without authority is desired.
  • Needs to demonstrate a high level of tenacity and flexibility in solving problems and implementing solutions.
  • Experience in data management required.
  • Should possess strong interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain relationships with both external and internal customers, with the ability to motivate all functional areas to quickly research and resolve problems.
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems, SharePoint, MS Teams, and Microsoft products such as Excel, PowerPoint preferred.
