This role promotes and sells AgriBusiness manufactured and imported products to new and existing accounts through direct customer contacts across multiple geographic regions. Cultivates prospective customers and develops new accounts. Analyzes industry trends and identifies new product opportunities as well as alternative uses for existing product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Researches, analyzes, and provides thorough reports on competitors' products and sales practices throughout the industry. Develops a variety of alternatives to react to an evolving marketplace.
  • Works across multiple geographic territories to increase sales to established client base.  Manages highly complex sales accounts and transactions. 
  • Works independently to develop new sales accounts and identify new product opportunities across multiple geographic territories and execute plans to grow business with existing and new customers. Recommends innovative, alternative uses for existing products.
  • Using a consultative approach, communicate the selling benefits of the Simplot product line in addition to the sale of products to ensure that customers are provided with the product knowledge they need to be successful.
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, customers and team members.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

  • 10+ years related experience and/or training
  • Product Management experience

  • Incumbents at this level typically possess a comprehensive knowledge of the company, its customers, its products and their uses.
  • There is a deep understanding of the fertilizer market in general which allows for effective strategic feedback to mgmt.
  • Individuals at this level have, within general parameters, pricing authority and substantial input into personal and SBU goals and objectives.
